Momomoon is the lead character of an entire collection of characters that were born our of me (lilian_) at a time of life when I was going through my own personal challenges. I developed them because they spoke to me and I’m hoping that they speak to you in a challenging world.
Momomoon was born out of personal struggles, not dissimilar to the struggles we all face. The concept was created during a period where I felt particularly helpless to the events happening around me. As a response to these eventsMomomoon, her friends, and the different visual states they all occupy/represent came to be a visual reminder I faced, and out of the personal struggles we all face in our daily lives. It was created during a period in my life where I felt helpless to events happening around me. To this end, the different visual states that Momomoon embodies came to be associated with different emotional states/attributes.

Her as Herself
When she's feeling grounded in her truth she appears as the rest of the world sees her — she appears as herself.. She's connected to her heart, her truth, and feels like herself. Feels like she can be free to express herself. She feels in a loving flow state.
Ninja
When she is facing a challenge, as we all do, she visually embodies /digs into her ninja self. Calls up her ninja self. Summons the strength we all possess to face or overcome a challenge.
Sometimes there's an obstacle in her path. Sometimes it feels so overwhelming and insurmountable Momomoon doesn't know where to begin or how to overcome it. In these moments, she digs deep into her inner strength — the inner strength we all possess — and step by step faces/stares down the obstacle in her path. When she's in this zone she knows that she isn't fragile, and that she can handle more than she thinks. She is resilient and can take what comes her way. When she is in this state of mind she Feels What she is Afraid to Feel. Knowing that sometimes it takes the most strength to hold up a mirror to our own selves and examine our own ways.

Sometimes she feels a sense of irreverent confidence. A conviction in herself, who she is, her individuality, place in the world, sense of self. She confidently walks in the direction of her dreams and isn't bothered by what others may think of her. She charts her own path. She paves the path she wants to walk. Afterall, being yourself is the point. When she is in the mindset, her motto is: Being Yourself is the Point. Afterall, when she's in this mindset she embodies the motto Being Yourself is the Point.
